Heat Stress and Thermal Comfort Management

Deep-level mines, foundries, bakeries and outdoor work in the African summer push workers into heat conditions that cause collapse and, in severe cases, death. This course covers how the body responds to heat, how to assess thermal conditions and how to protect workers through acclimatisation, work-rest cycles and hydration.
