Places of Worship Security and Congregation Safety Management

What you will be able to do

  • Assess the security and safety risks facing a place of worship and its events.
  • Build and train a volunteer safety and ushering team with clear roles.
  • Manage crowd flow, entrances and large gatherings to prevent crush and panic.
  • Prepare responses to disruption, theft and hostile intruders while protecting worshippers.
  • Plan fire, medical and evacuation response for congregations including children and elders.
  • Coordinate with police, neighbours and other congregations for mutual support.
