Tiling, Screeding and Floor Finishing Installation Supervision

This course focuses on supervising screeds, tiling and floor finishes to a durable standard. It covers substrate checks, falls to drainage, adhesives, jointing and the inspection practices that suit high traffic African commercial and public buildings.

  • Verify substrate levels, moisture and falls before laying.
  • Control screed mixes, thickness and curing for stability.
  • Select adhesives, grouts and movement joints for each application.
  • Supervise setting out, cutting and jointing of tiles.
  • Inspect finished floors for lippage, hollowness and falls.
  • Manage protection and handover of completed floor areas.
